Someone asked to see what a What’s New bag looks like.  Well here is a What’s New bag in action!  I have tucked an Avon brochure into the bag for demonstration purposes.  At this time the AVON lettering on the bag is a burgundy color (they change logo color and/or logo periodically – mainly just logo color in recent years).  Over they years they have also been made a bit larger – so they are the right fit to accomodate the mark magalogs.  As a reminder, these bags and brochures should never be places in or on mailboxes, as it is against postal codes – against the law.  You could be subject to a hefty fine!  Also, it just looks great on a door… nice and inviting.  Avon Representatives also use these for tossing… you can place the brochures inside and roll them up – wrap them with a rubber band and toss like a newspaper.  (Make sure you also are within you local codes before tossing these as well.  To order these use item #535077 – currently they are 60 cents for a package of 50.  They are a sales tool and count toward your award sales.  If you want to remind your customers to recycle and reuse these bags… they can be used for dirty diapers in diaper bags, automobile trash bags, and I especially like to remind my neighbors that they are especially great for picking up pet waste.  What’s New Bags are an important part of my Avon business.  If you do a newsletter to your customers let them know of some creative way to reuse the What’s New bags for to promote an eco-friendly environment.

Avon Reps – Product Bundles

cg55.png

Avon makes product bundles available to Representatives at deep discounts for a specified variety of products.  Right now we have available – the Winter Survival Bundle.  Regardless of how long you have been selling Avon there is bound to be something you have not tried and bundles are a great way to give these products a try.  The pros of purchasing product bundles?  You get a variety of products at a low cost.  The Winter Survival Bundle, for example, is 7 full-size products for just $12.00 – that’s around $1.71 per product.  It’s mindless shopping that will surely pay off in some way!  You can use some products for yourself… sell the rest, you can bundle the products into a gift basket for a ready-to-give gift.  You can raffle the items as a gift basket.  You could use then individually as thank-you gifts for larger orders – or for Holiday or *any* time customer appreciation.  I also hear Avon Reps asking all the time,”I am having an Open House/Beauty Bash, etc… What items should I have cash and carry?”  These are the perfect types of items – impressive and full-size – that make for stocking up on cash and carry items for your sales events.  There is one “con” to buying these bundles.  You will not get full award sales on these items.  This may are may not be important to you.  If you are shooting for President’s Club or above and are struggling to make your goal bundles may not be something you want to take advantage of.  So, again… Product Bundles can be an excellent deal for trying out products yourself, or for selling to your customers!  Some Representatives want to know why Avon doesn’t offer a sales kit as many direct sales companies do.  Avon doesn’t offer a sales kit  because they want to make it easy and affordable to have your own business – no expensive kits to purchase, no required stock, no quota requirements.  It’s great!  But, if you feel the need to have a sales kit – create one yourself – by taking advantage of product bundles!  Add a bundle when you can!  Avon Representatives and Leadership Representatives pass this on – if you are reading this and are not an Avon Representative please feel free to contact me via my website if you would like more information about becoming an Avon Representative.

Avon Fragrance – Occur! Thursday, November 29, 2007

Occur! Avon Fragrance – introduced around 1962 was sold through late 1990s in a variety of decanters over the years – DISCONTINUED

Top Notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Cardamom, Coriander
Middle Notes: Muguet, Francinsense, Vetiver, Myrrh, Jasmin, Patchouli, Carnation
Base Notes: Amber, Leather, Honey, Moss, Musk, Castoreum, Vanilla, Civet

If a customer would like to find a new fragrance to replace this it helps to know this was a heavier earthy, spicy with some light essences of carnation, vanilla, and bergamot.  It was not very floral – just earthy and spicy… I would recommend Surreal Garden (because it is earthy and green with patchouli), Night Magic Musk (because it is musk), Imari Seduction is a stretch… but may be a good match if the customer would like something a little softer thse days… it shares some of the same elements… but lacks the spice she probably loves.  This also had leathery notes, something that is normally used in men’s fragrance; Occur! was certainly a feminine fragrance regardless.  (Chanel No.19 is an example of a popular women’s fragrance with leathery notes, as well.)  If she would like to try something spicy with a bit of floral I would certainly recommend Christian Lacroix Rouge… but although the top notes are spicy this seems to become very floral, but it is worth trying.  But again, these are where I would begin – in this order: Surreal Garden, Night Magic Musk, Imari Seduction, then Christian Lacroix Rouge.

Avon Reps – Frequent Shopper Card – Mascara

Filed under: Avon Marketing Templates — Phyllis Ida Concordia @ 4:52 am

This is a good time of year to remind shoppers to switch up their Mascara for new!  Mascara harbors bacteria and this is true even when we are not sharing… and no… you should not be sharing your mascara!!  But your own personal mascara harbors your very own bacteria and then some.  So remind customers that they should ditch their old mascara for a new mascara!  A good way to remember is to change with the seasons.  So… download your Frequent Mascara Shopper Card and either print or stamp your Representative info on the back!  You can initial these cards or punch them if you like. – To Download Click —>  AVON – Mascara Frequent Shopping Card
